We are fascinated by the whole idea of live theater, big production numbers and beautiful sets and costumes, which is why we’re OB-SESSED with Broadway. Going to the theater is like stepping into a whole new world and it is truly a fun experience, especially if your favorite actor or actress is in the show. We feel like Broadway musicals are getting bigger and bigger as the years go on, and we’re not complaining! One trend that we can’t help but notice is how many movies have been turned into live productions in recent years.
In 2018 alone there are TONS of films getting the Broadway treatment. As much as we are obsessing over the Frozen musical, we can’t help but wonder about all the non-musical flicks that have surprisingly been turned into full blown song-and-dance shows. It’s easy to see how Disney movies become stage productions, but we are shocked over how many flicks with no music or dancing have gotten the full-on Broadway treatment. With the right creative team, anything is truly possible!
